Versatile Utilities was a “pipedream” for some time for our MD, Jon Knowles. Until 2006 when Jon decided to create a solution to some of the common problems developers often come across by building a multi-utility company that is communicative, competitive and caring. One of the main KPIs for Versatile Utilities is still to reduce the stress for our clients by taking away the hassle of organising their utilities needs.
At Versatile Utilities we assist both domestic and commercial households in a range of specialisms including underground water, plumbing and no dig trenchless technology, butt and electro fusion welding, leak detection, pressure testing, chlorination and specialist reinstatement.
Since 2006 we have been able to grow by combining an experienced management team with a qualified and dedicated work team. We deliver cost effective solutions that always fulfil the needs of our customers.
As a self-lay provider, we are skilled in carrying out repairs and renewals to water services, pipework and supply pipes. We use this technology whenever possible to eliminate the need to dig large trenches through highways, gardens and driveways. This saves time and money, reducing disruption and the amount of reinstatement required.
We have public liability insurance up to £5 million and employer liability insurance up to £10 million. We are accredited by ISO UKAS Standards 9001, 14001 and 45001 and WIRS certified.
All of our employees hold valid EUSR water hygiene and SHEA water cards, and are also WIAPS trained. Our team have also completed training in EUSR moling and deep excavation, NRSWA operating and supervising, NCO water mains and service laying, SSSTS, SMSTS and C&G risk confined spaces.
For the last 15 years we have undertaken developer services and mains replacement works in the London area and home counties, which is a testament to the level of work that we provide. We can supply references for our work, if required.
